This document describes the quality assurance and control activities to be undertaken by suppliers.
The controls described in this document do not replace any part of the suppliers ISO 9001 or AS9100 series quality management systems
The information for external providers is recorded on the purchase order or the quality and purchasing terms and conditions and includes the following requirements where applicable
a) The processes, products and services to be provided including the identification of relevant technical data
b) The approval of products, services, methods, processes, equipment and the release of products and services
c) The competence, including any required qualification of persons
d) The external providers’ relationship with ATA in order to maximise the value of interactions and collaborative working with key suppliers
e) The control and monitoring of the external providers’ performance to be applied by ATA
f) The verification or validation activities that ATA, or its customer, intends to perform at the external providers’ premises
g) The testing, inspection and verification of product
h) The use of statistical techniques for product acceptance
i) The need to:
Implement a quality management system
Use customer designated or approved external providers
Notify ATA of nonconforming processes, products or services and obtain approval for their disposition
Prevent the use of suspected unapproved and counterfeit parts
Notify ATA of changes to processes, products or services, including changes of their
external provider or location or method of manufacture
Flow down to external providers applicable requirements including customer requirements
Provide a certificate of conformity or test report (If requested on the purchase order)
Retain documented information, including retention periods and disposition
requirements
j) The right of access by ATA, their customer and regulatory authorities to the applicable areas of the facilities and to applicable documentation at any level of the supply chain
k) Ensuring persons are aware of the following:
Their contribution to product or service conformity
Their contribution to product safety
The importance of ethical behaviour
